SCSCGA is a growing, dynamic organization striving to serve the industry and meet the needs of our members. Whether you are a grower, supplier, or consumer, we invite you to support the specialty crop industry in South Carolina by joining the SCSCGA. We provide many benefits to our members.
SCSCGA serve are the voice of the industry with our government relations in our state house as well was Washington, DC. We offer communication to all members through the website, newsletter and membership alerts.
The Association offers education for members through regional conferences, regional food safety workshops and regional grower meetings.
The SCSCGA offers mini-grants to its members for various projects including on-farm production, marketing, transportation and management. To receive full benefit, the producer must be a member of SCSCGA.
Membership Applications and Dues paid after October 31st, 2022 will be applied for the 2023 Membership Year. Please contact mcranford@scda.sc.gov for any questions regarding membership status.
Advocacy Efforts
Our voice is influential local, state and federal legislation on matters affecting our industry. Our support helped influence legislation such as the Farm Bill, Farm Aid, water resource issues and labor regulations.
Classes
Food safety experts provide classes from Clemson University Department of Food Science, Clemson Extension Service, SCDHEC, SC Farm Bureau and more.
Mini-Grants
The SCSCGA offers mini-grants to its members for various projects including on-farm production, marketing, transportation and management. To apply, the producer must be a member of SCSCGA.
